Several wrestlers from the main roster are inactive due to injuries, AJ Styles could be another addition in that list. The #1 contender for Roman Reigns’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Payback, Styles was in action with a former World Champion and League of Nation member Alberto Del Rio at recent SmackDown tapings.

According to many fans in attendance, Del Rio botched a move and AJ landed on his head, possibly suffering a neck injury.

Dailywrestlingnews.com reports that a correspondent in attendance noted that the landing seemed pretty bad from where he was sitting. AJ won the match with a roll-up but was holding his neck on his way back to the locker room. Although many fans felt that AJ was just selling his bad landing and wasn’t injured at all.

As the news of AJ’s possible injury started to spread, a fan on Twitter asked him about his health and whether he would be fit enough for this week’s WWE live event in Dubai. AJ Styles replied :

It’s very possible Styles was just selling the match, we’re not sure yet. We will keep you updated on any information that becomes available.

Now something about the deadman.

As  noted, The Undertaker was removed from several shows on the U.K. tour that kicks off this week. We noted that WWE still had Taker listed for the WWE SmackDown taping on April 19th at the O2 Arena in London, as well as the WWE live event the following night in Newcastle at The Newcastle Arena.

F4WOnline reported that Taker was pulled from the tour completely, however was added back to the London and Newcastle shows. It should be noted that WWE never removed Taker from their event listing for both shows, and the websites for both arenas also never removed Taker from their advertising for those events. Taker is scheduled to team with Kane and face Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan at the Newcastle event.
