Hashim Amla slammed 154 off just 134 balls in the Centurion ODI against Sri Lanka. With this century at Supersport Park, Hashim Amla entered a grand club. He became only the second South African cricketer after Jacques Kallis to score a total of 50 international centuries.

This tally includes centuries in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. hashim Amla achieved the feat in just his 348th international innings, the quickest among all batsmen. Kallis is the leading South Africa century-maker with 62. He is the seventh batsmen to score over 50 or more international centuries.

Sachin Tendulkar leads the list with 100, followed by Ricky Ponting with 71, Kumar Sangakkara with 63, Kallis with 62, Mahela Jayawardene with 54 and Brian Lara with 53. Among all the batsmen in the list, only Mahela Jayawardene has a century in all three formats of the game.

This was Hashim Amla’s 24th ODI century, putting him level with AB de Villiers on top of the list for most centuries by a South Africa batsman. While AB de Villiers has smashed 24 centuries in 206 matches, Amla has done it in just 145 games.
