After the suspension of Chennai and Rajasthan in IPL, the fate of their franchise players hung in balance. It was a matter of great anticipation as of what would happen to the stalwarts of both Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings.

To sort the situation, IPL committee held a draft today. Players from both Rajasthan and Chennai were picked by newly formed teams of Rajkot and Pune.

Second highest picks were middle order batsman Ajinkya Rahane and allrounder Ravindra Jadeja, who went to different outfits for an identical price of 9.5 crores.

Other big names included Aussie skipper Steve Smith who was taken by Pune, hence putting both Indian and Australian captains in the same team. James Faulkner, major Rajasthan pacer was drafted to Rajkot. They both got the same tag of 4.5 crores.
