Ever since the controversy around Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay started brewing up, Karan Johar maintained a stoic silence on the issue. But at a recent event, Karan Johar decided to open up about the entire controversy that the two films are now mired in.

When asked about the controversy at Express Adda, Karan chose to stay dignified by not commenting on the entire issue.

He said, “My self respect, reputation, company reputation and my upbringing doesn’t allow me to dignify this question with a response.”

For the uninitiated ones, Ajay Devgn has demanded a probe over the case – Karan Johar allegedly paying Kamaal R Khan Rs 25 lakh to bad mouth Devjn’s upcoming film Shivaay which is set to clash with his Karan’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Karan’s response was indicative of the fact that he does not want to embroiled in this controversy.

Earlier this evening, KRK held a press conference in Mumbai, where he denied taking money from Karan Johar and said Devgn is using his name to target Karan Johar.

Devgn has further issues a new statement which says, “We have only made you aware of what KRK has said. KRK is contradicting himself in explanations about what he has said in the recording and what we all have just heard in his postured press conference”.

Karan’s response was indicative of the fact that he is not interested in becoming party to dirtying himself by commenting on the KRK-Ajay Devgn war that he too now finds himself embroiled in.

Express Adda which was moderated by Anant Goenka, Executive Director of Indian Express, and film critic Shubhra Gupta also saw Karan Johar at his wittiest best narrating anecdotes that left the packed audience in splits. Recollecting his encounter with Will Smith at Akshay Kumar’s house, KJO said, “Will said, ‘ I know no one at this party.’ To this I replied, “Where there is a will, there is a way.”
