A lot of people have come to Harsha Bhogle’s aid after one of the most popular cricket commentators was given the sack from the on-going Indian Premier League. To make things even murkier, there is no clear reasoning to justify the decision.

To be fair, Bhogle has been one of the most recognisable voices in Indian cricket from his days with All India Radio to rise with TV commentary. And he has the knack of using apt metaphors and witty one-liners to put his point across.

During the tri-series involving India, Australia and England in 2015, Harsha took a clever jibe at Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly: “To be honest, I really enjoy hearing you talk about the game Harsha. So much passion, so much in touch with the game. You’ve been around for a while though.”

Harsha Bhogle: “But i never took my shirt off.”
